Okay, it's finally time to admit it...

I'm on the job search.

I'm really struggling with self-worth. I've made it pretty far in some interviews, but haven't landed a job. I've been cut for internal candidates or other things.

It's been really rough. I have a dog to provide for... and I need healthcare.

I've done so much in cybersecurity. Anti-fraud SOC, teaching, sales, consulting, and more.

I've applied to over 200+ jobs and feel like I'm getting nowhere. That's why I've been so down lately.

Wish me luck on my upcoming opportunities...

wo waren wir, als Walter Lübcke von einem AfD-Anhänger erschossen wurde? Da, wo wir schon immer waren: auf der Straße, um gegen Rechtsextremismus zu demonstrieren. Wir haben nicht 17 Tage geschwiegen und den Mord dann Angela Merkel anzulasten.
Aber wenn Sie meinen, dass Anti-Faschisten das Problem sind, dann zeigt das doch noch mal deutlich, auf welcher Seite Sie stehen.

Wo waren wir, als in Hanau Menschen erschossen wurden, weil sie nicht in das Weltbild eines Rassisten passten? Wir waren bei den Trauerzügen, haben Solidarität gezeigt und uns gegen Hass und Hetze gestellt. Sie hingegen reden heute noch über „kleine Paschas“ und normalisieren den Rassismus.

Wo waren wir, als Sie die historische Schande begangen haben, eine Mehrheit mit Faschisten zu suchen? Auf den Straßen – gegen Sie! Wir haben nicht die Brandmauer eingerissen, sondern immer klar Stellung bezogen gegen Hass und Hetze. Während Sie eine Partei, die unsere demokratischen Werte infrage stellt, salonfähig machen, stehen wir auf der Seite derer, die für Gleichheit, Gerechtigkeit und Menschlichkeit kämpfen.

Wir wollen eine bessere Welt – nicht nur für uns hier in Deutschland, sondern für alle Menschen, unabhängig von Herkunft, Religion oder Hautfarbe. Eine Welt, in der Vielfalt gefeiert wird und niemand in Angst leben muss. Eine Welt, in der Menschenrechte nicht verhandelbar sind und die Würde des Menschen unantastbar bleibt.

Vielleicht sollten Sie mal darüber nachdenken, wer hier wirklich unsere Demokratie bedroht.
Vielleicht sollten Sie sich fragen, auf welcher Seite Sie in den Geschichtsbüchern stehen wollen.

Die #tagesthemen eröffnen heute mit einem Zehn-Minuten(!)-Werbeblock für die AfD & Musk, inklusive Bullshit-Bingo mit Weidel im Interview. Danach hat man 40 Sekunden für die über 200.000 Menschen deutschlandweit auf den #DemosGegenRechts.

Der ÖRR gibt sich kaum noch Mühe zu verbergen, wo er mittlerweile die Prioritäten setzt. Schwarz-Blau wird nun auch im Strobl-TV mit vorbereitet. Wozu braucht Putin da eigentlich noch Bots auf Social Media-Plattformen?

As someone who is totally blind, the Fediverse is the only place where I have ever been able to follow people such as photographers, artists, or even those who post pictures of their cats or the food they ate. The reason is that most of them use alt text. They take the time to describe the images that my screen reader can't recognise. Some write the descriptions themselves, and others use tools such as altbot. Some worry that their descriptions aren't good enough, especially when they are new at this. Let me assure you, not only are they good enough, they are extremely appreciated! If the rest of the world thought as you did, it would be a much better place. Don't hesitate to ask if you're unsure of something, but never think that we don't notice your effort.

Since a lot of new people have come on I've noticed a rise in people trying to start arguments. It's as if they carried the toxicity from wherever they came from along with them.

So this is your reminder that you DO NOT HAVE TO ENGAGE with people who are here just to start fights.

Mute them. Block them. Do whatever you have to do to take care of your mental health.

They aren't worthy of your time.

Let's keep Mastodon and the rest of the Fedi a "social" network and not a "toxic" network.
